Traces: SM-'s Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch

TRACES

9 Nov 2013 - 2 Feb 2014

The exhibition Traces of reality in the Stedelijk Museum 's-Hertogenbosch is the second in a series of exhibitions on what abstraction means in contemporary art today. Strictly speaking, abstraction means 'detachment from visible reality'. Traces focuses on the very relation with reality: the traces of it that we see.
This edition brings together five artists who work in the media of photography, film, video, installation and painting:

Lon Godin

Gijs van Lith
Katja Mater
Navid Nuur
Eli Walter
